Highlight / Reveal

A simple but extremely effective utility cantrip where the caster can change perception of an object/creature by changing the lighting and colors of it based off an easily known variable about the object. This ability typically has two sub-mastery variants: 1) Large area of effect: Cast highlight into a wide and large area of effect over multitudes of creatures. A common example would be to “highlight all of the enemies.” 2) Complex detection: Cast into a small group of people to determine something that is less easily known, such as “who is lying,” “who is the mole.” One cannot choose a variant, and thus cannot be both. The target must be seen/visible. With either variant, mastery will allow the caster to selectively decide who can see the highlight.
